Rebecca (Greenhouse) Slive
Rebecca G. Slive, 75, of 5100 Highbridge St., Fayetteville, died Sunday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. She was born in Syracuse and lived in Utica for 30 years, returning to the Syracuse area in 1966. Mrs. Slive was a member of Temple Beth El, the temple sisterhood, Auxiliary of the Jewish Home of Central New York and Pompey Country Club. Surviving are her husband, Sol; a son, Michael of Hanover, N.H. and Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Ronnie Kasowitz of Manlius; a brother, Nathan Greenhouse of Surfside, Fla.; a sister, Ida Goldberg of Boynton Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, Rabbi Charles S. Sherman and Cantor Harold Lerner officiating. Burial will be in Frumah Packard Cemetery . Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel, 1909 E. Fayette St. After the funeral, friends may call at their convenience at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kasowitz, at 4851 Hyde Road, Manlius.
