Alicia Shari Fink, 44, of Liverpool, NY, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Alicia earned her bachelors degree at the University of Buffalo and her master\\'s degree from Buffalo State College. Alicia was an extraordinary special education teacher for 19 years at Ray Middle School in the Baldwinsville Central School District. Alicia was known for her dedication and love for her students, family and friends. She had a fighting spirit, an incredible intellect and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She kept a positive attitude and, in her own words, felt surrounded by "family, friends and a beautiful view - How lucky I am!" Alicia is survived by her father and stepmother, Robert and Loretta Fink; her twin sister, Rhonda Fink; sister, Jennifer (Michael) Neuman; brothers, Allan (Kate) Aks and Stephen (Renee) Aks; five nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Alicia was predeceased by her mother, Anita Fink. Services will be 11 a.m. Sunday, December 7, 2008, at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, 1909 E. Fayette St. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in Frumah Packard Cemetery. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Alicias honor to the Baldwinsville Community Scholarship Foundation, PO Box 88, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
