Rosalin (Biben) Rubinstein
Rosalin Rubinstein November 19, 2009 Rosalin Rubinstein, 93, of Syracuse, died Thursday, November 19, 2009, at the Jewish Home of Central New York. Rosalin was born in Solvay and became a life resident of Syracuse. A graduate of Syracuse Normal School, Rosalin was a second-grade reading specialist and teacher with the Syracuse City Schools for over 30 years. Rosalin was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, Hadassah, Bnai Brith and a former member of Temple Beth El. Mrs. Rubinstein was predeceased by her husband, Alex Rubinstein, in 1994. Survived by her son, Michael Rubinstein; daughter, Ellen Jenner; and four grandchildren. Services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Sunday, November 22, 2009, at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, 1909 E. Fayette Street. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in Frumah Packard Cemetery. Contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
