Mrs. Cooper Rites Today; Was Dress Shop Owner May 20, 1969
Services for Mrs. Ethel Cooper, 76, of 1530 E. Genesee St., who died Tuesday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital’s East unit, will be at 11 a.m. today at the Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, Rabbi Irwin I. Hyman and Cantor Harold Lerner officiating. Burial will be in Frumah Packard Cemetery. She owned and operated Cooper’s Dress Shop, 512 Irving Ave., for many years until her retirement in 1959. She was a member of the Pioneer Women’s Organization, and of the auxiliary of the Jewish Home of Central New York. She is survived by a son, Richard Cooper; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Meyer of Scranton, PA; four sisters, Mrs Lilly (David) Cooper of Baldwinsville, Mrs. Louis Epstein of Worcester, MA, Mrs. Rose (Nathan) Steinberg and Miss Mildred Chadwick; two grandsons, and a great-granddaughter. Contributions may be made to the Pioneer Women’s Organization.
Her brother was Abe Chadwick 1895-1965.
