Ernest "Ernie" A. Shapero, 91, died Sunday evening at his home. He was a life resident of Syracuse. Ernie owned and operated Lester Farms of Manlius since 1951. He was a graduate of Syracuse University; proudly served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, was a former member of Philo-Mt. Sinai Masonic lodge; a 32nd degree mason, and a past president of the New York State Cattle Dealers Association. He is survived by his wife, Maureen of 68 years; their children, Terry (Estelle), Lesley, Paul (Karen), and Robin; and their grandchildren, Andrew, Peter, Robert, and Sarah. Private graveside services were conducted Monday in Frumah Packard Cemetery.
