Abraham Levine (Gavrail ben Yitzchak). Born in Pinsk, a city in Belarus (a country between Poland and Russia). He came to the US as a small child, living in Brooklyn and then the Lower East Side, before moving to Syracuse in 1944 for a business opportunity. He worked as an estimator for Stanyon Products (roofing and siding), where he was known as "Honest Abe," because he would not sell something to someone if they didn\\\\'t need it. His integrity won the company a lot of business.
