Sally (Shapiro) Pliskin

Sally S. Pliskin, 88, of 6255 The Hamlet, and Boca Raton, Fla., died Friday at her residence in Jamesville. Mrs. Pliskin was a member of LaFayette Country Club, and a former member of Temple Adath Yeshurun. She was active in Hadassah, having been a member of the Syracuse chapter and a past president of the Upper NYS Region. Mrs. Pliskin served on the National Board of Hadassah and in 1978 was presented the Solomon Gals Service Award. Her husband, Gerald, died in 1988. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Windheim of Fayetteville, and Patricia Schlager of Springfield, N.J.; two sisters, Miriam Nathanson of Baltimore, Md., and Rose Backman of Lynn, Mass.; five grandsons; and three great-granddaughters. Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, Rabbi James Kaufmann and Cantor Harold Lerner officiating, 1909 E. Fayette St. Burial will be in Frumah Packard Cemetery.
