Bernice N. Raymond
Bernice Raymond, 79, of 1711 Meadowbrook Drive died Monday at the Jewish Home of Central New York. Mrs. Raymond was a life resident of Syracuse. She retired in 1993 after four years as a nurse with the offices of Dr. George Ninos. Mrs. Raymond also was a private duty nurse in the Syracuse area and was employed with the Visiting Nurse Association from 1968 until 1981. She was a 1930 graduate of Mount Sinai Hospitals School of Nursing. Mrs. Raymond was a volunteer with the Red Cross Blood Bank from 1982 to 1988. She was a member of B\'nai B\'rith.
Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Raymond of Syracuse; and a sister, Ziporah Shay of Lombard, Ill.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Frumah Packard Cemetery, Rabbi Charles S. Sherman officiating.
