Ella Markson, 77, widow of Isaac Markson, founder of the chain of Central New York furniture stores, whose death occurred at 2:50 a. m. today in Syracuse Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for a week. A native of Syracuse, Mrs. Markson attended public schools there and was a life-long resident of that city. She was married to Mr. Markson on March 4, 1900: and together they founded the Syracuse store, now Markson Brothers, shortly after their marriage. The couple also had stores in Auburn, Fulton, Oswego and Watertown, and Mrs. Markson remained in the business for many Years. Mrs. Markson is survived by a son, Asher S, Markson: a daughter, Mrs. Leopold E. Goldberg; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of Syracuse; also; three brothers; August and Henry Markson, both of Syracuse, and Harry P. Markson. Auburn; five sisters, Mrs. Arthur Liberman, Mrs. Philip Besdin, Mrs. Max Franklin, all of Syracuse; Mrs. Louise Cohen. Los Angles, Calif., and Mrs. Julius Gordon, Watertown. Services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Wednesday in Temple Adath Yeshurun. Syracuse, Burial will be in Frumah Packard cemetery.
