Former Syracuse resident Harriet Game, 80, died Thursday in Schenectady. Mrs. Game lived in Syracuse before moving to Scotia eight years ago. She was employed from 1965 until 1978 with the New York Fire Insurance Rating Organization. She attended Central High School and Syracuse Normal School. Mrs. Game was a Girl Scout leader 15 years in North Syracuse. She volunteered at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Van Duyn Home and Hospital and Red Cross chapters locally and in Albany County. In 1992 she received the Retired Senior Volunteer Project Advisory Councils special award for her work with the Red Cross. Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Ryder of Austin, Texas, and Janice Otis of Burnt Hills; three brothers, Raymond of Syracuse, Sanford of DeWitt and Albert Meltzer of New Town Square, Pa.; and a grandson. Services were private. Burial was in Frumah Packard Cemetery.
