February 23, 2003 Helen Leverton, 97, formerly of 600 James Street, died at Birchwood Nursing Facility. Miss Leverton was a salesperson for many local bakeries, retiring from Snowflake Bakery in 1985. Survivors: Cousins Pearl Karp and Stephen (Barbara) Karp. Services: 10 AM Tuesday graveside in Frumah Packard Cemetery, Jamesville Avenue. No calling hours. Contributions to the Syracuse Jewish Community Foundation, 5655 Thompson Road, DeWitt 13214. Birnbaum Funeral Service has arrangements.
