Natalie Fisher Happek, 87, died suddenly on Thursday. Born in Syracuse to Harry and Ida Fisher, she had been a life resident of Syracuse. During her professional career Natalie was a supervisor with the Onondaga County Department of Mental Health. She was a graduate of Syracuse University with a masters degree in social work. She was an avid reader, especially enjoying mysteries; a skilled bridge player; a patron of the theater; and a lifelong dog lover. Natalie will be remembered for her caring love of her family and friends.
Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Jerry in 2015. Her family includes her daughters Wendy (Gregory Stauf) Happek, and Susan (Laura Vansant) Happek. Funeral services will be at 1PM on Monday, December 4 at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family immediately prior to the service on Monday from noon to 1 at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. Burial will be in Frumah Packard Cemetery. Contributions in Natalies memory may be made to WCNY, or Wanderers rest.
