Funeral services or Saul Markowitz, Binghamton florist who died suddenly Wednesday afternoon in the office of Dr. Hugo Breit 237 Main Street, were held today at the Birnbaum Funeral Home, in Syracuse. Burial was in Frumah Packard Cemetery. Mr. Markowitz who was 55. became ill while driving his wife to his home 255 Main Street. He stopped his car in front of the doctors office and went inside. A few minutes later he collapsed. Dr. Breit telephoned the Emergency Squad of the Binghamton Fire Department. Firemen administered artificial respiration but Mr. Markowitz died about 40 minutes after arriving at the doctors office. Born in Rochester, Mr. Markowitz came to Binghamton 11 years ago and entered the florist business with a brother Joseph Markowitz. They operated a shop at 26 Court Street A veteran of World War I. Mr. Markowitz was a member of Binghamton Post 80, American Legion; Binghamton Lodge 1013. Loyal Order of Moose: Mt Sini Lodge 864 of Syracuse, F.
