Richard G. Scornick, 49, of 154 Ridgeway Ave., died Monday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A life resident of Syracuse, Mr. Scornick was associated with his late father, Irving Scornick, in operating gas stations in the Syracuse area for a number of years until he retired in 1980. Mr. Scornick was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun. Surviving are his mother, Freida Shapero Scornick of Syracuse; a brother, Elliot Scornick of Philadelphia, Pa.; a sister, Ruth Masel of Marlton, N.J.; a niece, Mindy Calderon; a nephew, Danny Masel; a grandniece and a grandnephew.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, Rabbi Charles S. Sherman and Cantor Harold Lerner officiating. Burial will be in Frumah Packard Cemetery. Calling hours are 1 to 2 p.m. today (Jan. 20) at the funeral chapel, 1909 E. Fayette St. After the services, friends may call at the family residence, 154 Ridgeway Ave.
