Moe Mesmer
Veteran Moe Mesmer, 69, of 119 Alpine Dr., DeWitt, died Monday, March 25. Born in New York City, Mr. Mesmer moved to the Syracuse area in 1945. He was a salesman for the Jo-Lee Household Products Co. before retiring in 1983. Mr. Mesmer served with the Army during World War Two, and was a member of Onondaga Post 131, Jewish War Veterans. He was also active in the Lessing Lodge, Knights of Phythias. Surviving are his wife, Mona Mesmer; a son, Perry Mesmer of Huntington; two daughters, Susan Stevenson of Liverpool and Heather Hillman of Toronto, Canada; two brothers, Louis Mesmer and Sol Mesmer, both of Plantation, Fla.; a sister, Teddy Fiur of Delray Beach, Fla., and five grandchildren. Services were Thursday in Syracuse, with the Rabbi David I. Sheinkopf officiating. Burial was in Frumah Packard Cemetery.
