September 2, 2003 Lillian Lipsy, 88, died at the Court at Palm Aire in Florida. Born in Binghamton, Mrs. Lipsy had lived in Syracuse for 40 years, before moving to Florida 25 years ago. She was a former member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, and BNai Brith Womens Organization. Her husband, Charles, died in 1988. Survived by: her son Donald; a daughter Daryl (Dr. Lawrence) Hurwitz; grandsons Dr. Mark Hurwitz and Jeffrey Hurwitz; great-grandsons, Joshua, Andrew and Zachary; and her sisters Ida Spector and Kay Goldsmith. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Birnbaum funeral chapel. Calling hour will be Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home, 1909 E. Fayette Street.
