 Veteran Mortimer H. Shay, husband of Mrs. Lorraine Liberman Shay of 107 So Herman Avenue died Monday. May 16. 1977 at Auburn Memorial Hospital after several months illness. Born in Utica he had resided in Auburn 49 years. Mr Shay practiced for 50 years as an optometrist. He was a World War 1 Army Veteran. Mr Shay was a member of Congregation B\\'nai Israel, Auburn Lodge No 431. F and A M and a life member and past adjutant of W Mynderse Rice Post No, 97. American Legion. Surviving besides his wife are one sister, Mrs Bertha Karp, Middletown; two brothers, Maurice Shay, Hollywood, Florida; Gideon Shay, Bellevidere, Illinois, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 am. Thursday, May 19, 1977 at the Langham Funeral Home 91 E. Genesee Street Rabbi Robert L Kravitz will officiate Burial will be in Frumah Packard Cemetery,Syracuse.
