March 13, 2009 Delores C. Shapiro, 88, of Syracuse, died Friday, March 13, 2009, at the Jewish Home of Central New York. Delores was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, past Sisterhood president and former member of Congregation Adath Israel in Oswego and was also a life member of Hadassah. Survived by her husband, Leonard Shapiro; daughters, Marleen (John) Waloven, Karen (Jeffrey) Schultz and Maxine (Edward) Molloy; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; and her sister, Rosalind Carmen. Services will be conducted 12:30 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Temple Adath Yeshurun, 450 Kimber Road, Syracuse. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the temple. Burial will be in Frumah Packard Cemetery. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice of Central New York or Temple Adath Yeshurun. Birnbaum Funeral Service Inc.
