Abe Rose, 85, formerly of 116 Remington Ave., died Monday at the Jewish Home of Central New York. Mr. Rose was a machinist and worked at Lamson Corp. for 10 years. He retired in 1969 from Reinhardt Co. He was a member of Young Israel-Shaarei Torah of Syracuse and a former member of Congregation Ahavath Achim. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Esther; a son, Charles of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two daughters, Linda Hershkowitz of DeWitt and Georgia Pellegrino of Naples, Fla.; a sister, Molly Glenn of Syracuse; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, Rabbi Evan Shore officiating. Burial is in Frumah Packard Cemetery.
