Rose Luxenberg Boskin, 84, formerly of Syracuse, died Sunday, September 5, at Hospice Home in Raleigh NC. Born Rose Luxenberg, she grew up in Syracuse and married Aaron Boskin, who preceded her in death in 1991. Rose worked for Fleishman\'s Furniture in Syracuse before she and Aaron opened a clothing store. The store, "Size 5 to 9 Fashions," was located on South Salina St. in Syracuse. She also worked for a period of time at Pioneer Activity Center. Upon retirement and after the passing of her husband, she moved to Raleigh NC. Rose was a former member of Temple Society of Concord and previously of Temple Beth El. She is survived by her brothers, Manny Luxenberg and Bill Luxenberg, as well as her two daughters, Marlene Groskin and Cindy Block. She has four grandchildren, Rebecca Block, Jeremy Block, Jonathan Groskin and Bryan Groskin. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, 1909 E. Fayette Street. Friends may visit with the family from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Frumah Packard Cemetery.
