Private graveside services for Nathan Steinberg, 90, of 707 E. Raynor Ave., who died Wednesday at his home, were conducted in Frumah Packard Cemtery. There will be no calling hours. Mr. Steinberg was a native of Syracuse. He retired as an associate with his late brother, Abraham, in the operation of Central Loan and Sporting Goods Store on East Fayette Street. Mr. Steinberg earlier was employed with the former New York State Railways and the former Syracuse Transit Co., beginning his career as a trolley car motor man and later served as paymaster. He was a 1918 graduate of Central High School. Mr. Steinberg was the winner of a New York state-sponsored bait casting championship held just before World War II at the New York State Fair. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, the former I. Rose Chadwick; a son, S. Harvey of Camillus; two sisters, Esther Weinberg of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Hanna Olum of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews.
